  3. SOME RESULTS IN A NUTSHELL

  5. The high quality of EIT shows us more subtle and detailed magnetic features than ever before. EIT images show the 
  6. development over time of the polar areas, with their plume structures, where the solar wind is accelerated. 
  7. Temperatures of these structures in both polar coronal hole and in low latitude decaying active region were found to be 
  8. cooler than the surrounding material.
  9. Temperature studies of large-scale coronal features extend previous coronagraph work with low-noise temperature 
  10. maps. Active region loops were found to be isothermal for the low loops but hottest at the loop tops for the large loops.
